DUTIES:

Manages the planning, development and implementation of a company project, which can include research and development or clinical. This includes:  Establishment and maintenance of project, timeline, resource usage and forecast, issues and resolutions, risks and mitigation actions, and external collaborations. Works with the Project Team to identify variances and developing action plans. Ensure plans are complete, feasible and all options are considered.· Responsible for tracking progress against plan, consolidating weekly status updates, communicating progress reports to the Project Team.  Collects, consolidates and analyzes project plans and information across sub-projects.  Produce and distribute regular and ad-hoc progress/status reports and management dashboard. · Ensure project team members and consultants are up-to-date with project and specific tasks. · Works with Team members to conduct reviews.  Schedules, plans and convenes regular Project Team meetings.  Oversee resource requirements for multiple projects, identify and promptly bring to resolution issues forcing changes to the Project Plan. · Provide training and advice to project team members on the project management process. Interacts with management as necessary to insure communications between the Project Team and Management. .

REQUIREMENTS:

BS or BA required, advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years experience managing medium to large scale projects preferably in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Biologicals expertise preferred. Must have communication skills, both written and oral. Familiarity with interdepartmental relations and/or project team experience. Must be experienced with multi-tasking. . Results-oriented, pragmatic approach to problem solving; interpersonal skills to act as advocate for consensus on complex issues. Strong interpersonal, leadership and mentoring skills. Additional education or professional development in project management, business planning and/or strategic analysis desired.  Proven ability to lead cross functional teams in difficult situations. Sound understanding of project planning techniques/software. Proficiency /experience with the use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and Power Point are required.
