Research Associate – Immunology
Scope of Position:
To perform Flow Cytometry analyses and other immunologic assays related to the immune monitoring of patients.
Major Responsibilities:
This position involves providing support in several areas of research and immunological monitoring of clinical trials conducted in the Immunology Group. The desired candidate will be in charge of optimizing new immune assays (immunocytometry, multi-color flow cytometry analysis) to complement the panel of assays currently in place. He/she will also be in charge of performing these assays in the context of patient follow-up, and in the context of quality control monitoring of the cellular products manufactured in the company.
Experience and Qualifications Requisite for Position:
- Immunology
- Molecular biology
- Cell/tissue culture
- Virology
- Flow cytometry: extracellular/intracellular cell staining; multi-color analysis; cellular and bead applications
- Tissue/cell culture: aseptic technique, culture of cell lines and primary cells, Ficoll separations, transient transfections, cell counting, ultracentrifugation
- Virology: Viral culture and titration; virus neutralization assays
- Immunology: Immuno-enzymatic techniques (inhibition, competition, and direct Elisa); broad range of humoral and cellular immunity assays at the mucosal and systemic level.
- Proficiency in computer assisted data analysis (common flow cytometry softwares, word processing, Excel…)
Educational Requirements:
B.S. or M.S. in a scientific discipline
